At St. Patrick School, we believe that faith is not simply something we learn about but it is something we live. Campus Ministry provides our students with meaningful opportunities to put their faith into action through prayer, leadership, and service.

Campus Ministry empowers students to take an active role in the spiritual life of our school community. Through opportunities to lead prayer, participate in Mass, and serve their fellow students, members of Campus Ministry grow in confidence, faith, and a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Catholic leader.

Living Our Faith Through Leadership

Campus Ministry students help bring our Catholic identity to life throughout the school day. They serve as visible examples of faith and leadership to their peers while helping create a school environment rooted in prayer, community, and service.

Students involved in Campus Ministry have the opportunity to:

• Serve as lectors at school Masses proclaiming the Word of God and helping our school community enter more deeply into the celebration of the Eucharist.

• Lead morning prayer for the school beginning each day by bringing our community together in prayer and reflection.

• Lead the Angelus Prayer after lunch providing a meaningful pause in the school day to turn our hearts toward God.

• Lead dismissal prayer closing the school day with gratitude and asking for God's guidance and protection.

• Assist with the spiritual activities of our school helping plan, support, and participate in opportunities that strengthen our Catholic identity and bring our community together in faith.

• Serve as positive role models for their peers demonstrating that faith is expressed not only through prayer, but also through kindness, compassion, responsibility, and service.

Our Goal

The goal of Campus Ministry is to help our students recognize that they each have an important role to play in the life of our Catholic school community.

Through Campus Ministry, we seek to:

• Create Spiritual Leaders: We encourage students to grow as confident Catholic leaders who are willing to share their gifts, lead by example, and help guide others in faith.

• Strengthen Our Catholic Identity: By giving students an active role in prayer and spiritual activities, Campus Ministry helps deepen our school's Catholic identity and creates greater student ownership of our shared faith life.

• Increase Student Participation: We want every student to see that they have a place in the spiritual life of our school. Campus Ministry creates opportunities for students to participate, contribute, and help shape a community centered on Christ.

• Provide Opportunities to Lead and Serve: Leadership is rooted in service. Campus Ministry gives students opportunities to use their talents in meaningful ways while learning the importance of humility, responsibility, and serving others.

• Faith in Action: Campus Ministry is about more than taking on a role or completing a responsibility. It is about putting faith into action

As our students pray, lead, and serve, they develop the confidence to become faith-filled leaders both within our school and beyond its walls. We hope that the experiences they have through Campus Ministry will inspire them to continue living their faith through leadership and service throughout their lives.
